The Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is pleased to announced the establishment of a new Directorate of Women Mobilisation to strengthen its grassroots presence and further deepen women participation in the party in ensure that the voices of Kwara women are strongly represented in the ongoing efforts to reclaim the state from the APC misrule.
As part of this development, the SWC has approved the appointment of Miss Muftau Damilola Nafisat as Director of Women Mobilisation, and Mrs. Rasheedat Oluwakemi Musa as Assistant Director.
The new Director, Miss Muftau Damilola Nafisat, a young entrepreneur from Offa in Offa Local Government Area, holds a Higher National Diploma in Business Administration. She has served the party in various capacities, including as a member of the PDP Youth Council, Secretary of the Kwara South Coalition Ladies, and member of the Saraki Young Women in Politics.
The Deputy Director, Mrs. Rasheedat Oluwakemi Musa, is also a young entrepreneur and business woman from Ilorin West Local Government. She holds a B.A in Islamic Studies and a Diploma in Law. Until her appointment, she was the State Coordinator of the Young Women in Politics (Kwara Chapter), a member of the PDP Youth Council, and the Kwara Central Coordinator of the Saraki Dynasty Young Women in Politics.
Speaking on the appointments, the State Chairman of the PDP, Hon. Isa Adamu Bawa, said the creation of the new directorate reflects the party’s renewed commitment to inclusivity and gender balance in leadership and mobilisation efforts ahead of 2027.
He expressed confidence in the abilities of the two appointees, describing them as dedicated, visionary, and capable of inspiring a new wave of women into the PDP family.
“We are proud of these young women who have shown passion, loyalty, and hard work in advancing the ideals of our great party. Their appointment is a recognition of merit and a call to action to bring more women of values and ideas into the Rescue Kwara 2027 project,”
The Kwara PDP assures all women across the state of a more inclusive platform where their voices, talents, and aspirations will find expression in shaping a better future for the state.
