The Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Alhaji Muhammad Abubakar Sa’ad III has declared tomorrow, Monday, 1st of Ramadan 1445 A.H, marking the beginning of the month-long compulsory fast.

Recall that the Confidence News Ng earlier reported that Saudi Arabia begins Ramadan on Monday 11th March 2024 following the sighting of the crescent moon.

The Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) President-General and Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence Saad Abubakar III, has now announced officially that the Muslims in Nigeria should go on observe fast tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Sunday’s lunar sighting marks the beginning of Ramadan, which begins at midnight with Taraweeh prayers following Isha’i prayers.
