A member of the House of Representatives, Hon Abdulmumin Jibrin, has claimed that the Tax Reform Bills sent by President Bola Tinubu will be passed by both chambers of the National Assembly.
Jibrin’s comments came on Sunday, barely 24 hours after the Northern Elders Forum (NEF) called on federal lawmakers from the region to reject the Bills.
He was speaking as a guest on TVC’s “Politics Today” program aired on Sunday night.
Jibrin, who chairs the House of Representatives Committee on Housing and Habitat, noted that Tinubu, through the tax reform bills and other economic policies, is giving his today for Nigerians’ tomorrow.
“I have never had any doubt about the consideration and passage of the Tax Reform Bills.
“We will pass the tax reform bills,” Jibrin said.
