Kwara State-based Human Rights Activist, Comrade Mashood Lanre Osho, is set to launch his third book, The Voice of Change: A Call for Transparency and Accountability – Lessons from Nigeria’s August Protests.

The book launch, scheduled for December 29th at the KCDI Secretariat Behind Flower Garden GRA Ilorin, promises to be an exciting event, with distinguished guest speakers invited to share their insights.

The invited guests include:

– IGP Egbetokun, who will discuss why security operatives often fear protests and how they can manage protesters without crisis.
– Mallam Lanre Issa Onilu, DG National Orientation Agency, who will share his thoughts on how citizens can approach the government in a civil manner and why the present government is working towards delivering dividends of democracy.
– Prof Ali Babatunde Ahmad, who will examine the necessity of protesters obtaining security orders before protests and why governments at all levels often fear protests and citizens’ constitutional rights.
– Barr Iyiola Akogun Oyedepo, who will discuss Kwara State’s journey in the past and present, drawing from his expertise as a political scientist, farmer, and lawyer.
– Comrade ISSA Aremu mni, DG Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies, who will explore whether protests should be part of workers’ negotiations with the government, why protests are often the last resort, and why governments fear workers’ protests.

Their contributions will undoubtedly provide valuable insights and actionable plans for the government at all levels, ultimately contributing to Nigeria’s development.
