The foundation for community development (MOK Foundation), a renowned philanthropic organization, has announced the first phase distribution of finished maize harvested from its 50 hectares of land to its registered members in Offa Local Government Area.

This initiative aims to alleviate food scarcity and promote agricultural development in rural communities. The foundation’s efforts are geared towards supporting vulnerable households, encouraging local farmers, and fostering community engagement.

According to the executive director of the Foundation, Mr. Saheed Lawal “We are committed to empowering rural communities through sustainable agriculture and food security initiatives. This maize distribution is a testament to our dedication to improving lives in Offa LG.” It’s important to note that the activities will commenced at exactly 10 AM on 20 September 2024 at the Foundation office located at NO. 157, Ibrahim Taiwo Road, Opposite IBEDC office, Offa.

The MOK Foundation has a proven track record of philanthropy in Offa and Oyun LGAs, including empowering persons with disabilities, renovating Offa Township Stadium, supporting small-scale businesses, and food distribution to over 5,000 residents.
