It is the beginning of our numerous intervention for the region——— Mr Lawal Saheed, Director MOK Foundation

The Foundation for Community Development (MOK Foundation), a philanthropic organization dedicated to empowering communities and supporting vulnerable groups, has officially launched its operations in Kwara North. To mark its entry into the region, the foundation conducted a test run in Edu Local Government, where it donated N400,000 in cash to its first set of beneficiaries in Lafiagi.

The event, which took place on August 3rd 2024 inside the Tako Gabi LGEA school was attended by community leaders, beneficiaries, and representatives of the foundation. The beneficiaries, who were selected based on their needs and circumstances, received cash donations.

Speaking at the event, the Cordinator for Kwara North, Comr Sanni Ibrahim , emphasized the organization’s commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of people. “We are happy to launch our operations in Kwara North and support the good people of Edu LG. Our goal is to empower communities and help individuals achieve their full potential.” Sanni reassured the people that the Foundation will continue to serve the needy, especially those living in the rural communities.

The Cordinator for Edu LG, Musa Haruna advised the beneficiaries to make good use of the money, stating that the Foundation will continue to bring smile to the faces of the underprivileged

The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the foundation, praising its kindness and generosity. “This donation will go a long way in supporting my business,” said one beneficiary. “Thank you, MOK Foundation, for believing in us.”

Mallama Fatima Sha’aba speaks on behalf of the women beneficiaries praised the MOK Foundation for supporting the people most especially at the time when the nation is battling with economic challenges, she assured the Foundation of their undaunted support for coming through for them at this time.

The MOK Foundation Movement launch in Kwara North marks the beginning of a new chapter in its mission to touch lives and make a difference. The foundation plans to continue supporting vulnerable groups and empowering communities in the region.u
