For many residents in Offa and Oyun Local Government Areas, accessing fresh farm produce has long been a challenge. But thanks to MOK Foundation, a philanthropic organization dedicated to empowering vulnerable populations, that’s about to change.
Last Friday, the MOK Foundation launched its farm produce distribution program, providing essential nutrients to low-income households, vulnerable women, elderly individuals, and people living with disabilities who are registered members of the Foundation across two LGA
“I was struggling to feed my family,” said Mrs. Ajayi, a beneficiary from Offa. “MOK Foundation’s support has brought relief and hope to our doorstep.”
The foundation’s initiative aims to address food insecurity, promote economic empowerment, and foster community development. Registered members will henceforth receive regular supplies of fresh fruits, vegetables, and staple crops.
“We’re committed to making a difference in our communities,” said Mr. Saheed Lawal, MOK Foundation’s Executive Director. “Our goal is to ensure everyone has access to nutritious food, regardless of their socio-economic status.”
As the distribution continues, beneficiaries are already experiencing the positive impact.
With MOK Foundation’s intervention, Offa and Oyun communities are taking a step towards a healthier, more sustainable future.
