In a move aimed at promoting education and empowering underprivileged students, the MOK Foundation has announced its plan to sponsor the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination fees for 400 deserving students.
The foundation’s initiative is designed to support students from disadvantaged backgrounds who are struggling to pay for the examination fees. By providing this support, the MOK Foundation hopes to level the playing field and give these students an equal opportunity to pursue their academic dreams.
According to the Executive Director of the MOK foundation, Saheed Lawal, he said that the selection process for the beneficiaries will be rigorous and transparent, considering academic achievement, financial need, and commitment to community service.
This is not the first time the MOK Foundation has provided educational support to underprivileged students. Previously, they awarded WAEC scholarships to 200 underprivileged students across 16 Local Governments of Kwara state. They also awarded JAMB scholarships to over 250 deserving candidates last year, with some beneficiaries showcasing exceptional academic prowess in the 2024 JAMB examination.
However, the foundation gives certain criteria and conditions:
Eligibility Criteria:
