The family of the former Governor of Kwara state, Rear Admiral Mohammed Alabi Lawal, has extended their heartfelt sympathies to the Sarakis over the loss of their matriarch, Chief Mrs. Florence Morenike Saraki, as they hold a funeral service in her honour.
In a statement personally signed by the first son of the family on behalf of the Lawal’s family, Hakeem Oladimeji Lawal extolled Mama Saraki’s legacy and impacts, and prayed for God to grant her loved ones fortitude to bear the burden of her loss.
The statement read: “As the funeral service of Chief Mrs. Florence Morenike Saraki is conducted today, I offer my condolences to my brother, HE Abubakar Bukola Saraki, and my dear sister, Senator Gbemisola Ruqayyah Saraki, both of whom I had already reached out to when we lost Mama.
“Though Mama Saraki is physically absent from our midst, her impacts and legacies will forever keep her spirit alive in people’s hearts. As the reality of her loss dawns on her children and loved ones, I share in their grief and pray God grants them the fortitude to bear this huge burden.
“We are all consoled with the fact that Mama lived a graceful life and was surrounded by loved ones till her last breath. Adieu, Mama.”
