completes Joromo Osin waterworks
The Kwara State Government has again reiterated its commitment to providing potable water supply to the people in the nooks and crannies of the state.
Commissioner for Water Resources, Hon. Usman Yunusa Lade made the reiteration at the commissioning ceremony of the just completed rehabilitation of Joromo Osin Waterworks in Ilorin South Local Government Area of the State.
The Commissioner stated that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq had invested substantially on water and other similar projects across the state to ensure that both the citizens and residents of the state enjoy good and adequate water supply as parts of the dividends of democracy.
Hon. Lade expressed appreciation to the governor for always considering and approving water projects under his watch for the comfort of the people.
He explained that Joromo Osin community is known
for its shear butter production, adding that with the rehabilitation of this water facility, it will serve as a succour to the people of the community, especially women.
Lade urged the people of the community to jealousy protect and guard the facility from being vandalized to justify the government’s huge investment.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, the Village Head, Mallam Malik Gafar expressed appreciation to the state government for coming to their aid after a long period of neglect by the previous administrations.
Mallam Gafar pledged the community’s resolve to guard and protect the facility against any misuse and damage.
