The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has shifted the registration date for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) from Friday, January 31, to Monday, February 3, 2025.

Dr. Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, said the adjustment is to enable the board to implement crucial updates to its registration template.

One of the reasons for the adjustment was the recent suspension of certain law programs at selected universities, including Kwara State University (KWASU)Malete, Bingham University, Karu, Nasarawa State (BU), Redeemer’s University, Ede, Osun State(RUN) and others as submitted to the Board by the Council for Legal Education.

Furthermore, the Board discovered that some Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers had used misleading facilities to obtain approval. As a result, a thorough review and necessary corrections are required to disqualify such centers.

“The Board acknowledges the inconvenience this may cause candidates and other stakeholders and sincerely apologizes for the disruption,” he added.

‘The additional time would be used to ensure that all necessary changes were made for a smooth registration process,” he concluded.
