It was a day to remember for the people of Balogun Oja and Mosudo Town, two neighboring villages in the Igbaja district of Ifelodun local government area of Kwara State, on 8th February 2024 Alhaji Akeem Ayinla the founder of Akeem Ayinla Foundation (AFF) visited the two communities to commission newly constructed classrooms in Mosudo village and renovated central mosque at Balogun Oja village. 

Arriving the communities in the company of the foundation members, villagers turned out in large numbers to welcome him, singing and dancing. At the palace of Oba Ishola Mumini the Akogun of Balogun Oja, he praised and prayed for Alhaji Akeem, Oba Ishola said “The first time Alh Akeem called me, after introducing himself, it took me a while to trace his background because we have many sons and daughters in this community who are far away from home when we spoke a second time, he asked me what the major things we are facing as a community, and he promised to fix one or two, within a short period of time, he has fulfilled his promises, we are proud of you .“ the King also called on sons and daughters of the community in the diaspora to come back home to support the development of Akogun Oja and environs. 

At the commissioning of the newly constructed building of two classrooms in Mosudo College, Mosudo. Oba Abdulwahab Aremu the Onimosudo of Mosudo town appreciated the effort of Alh Akeem in grassroots development, he also narrated the strong relationship that has been in existence for years among the people of Baloogun Oja and Mosudo. The King pleaded with the government to provide educational materials to schools in the community, he also lamented the shortage of staff in primary and secondary schools in the community, Oba Absulwahab advised the beneficiary school to maintain the classrooms. “As the leader of this community, I will make sure there is proper monitoring and evaluation of this project” he concluded. 

Speaking with pressmen, the founder of AAF Alh Akeem Ayinla narrated what prompted him to construct two classrooms for the school “ After discussing with my Kings, I sent my foundation member to visit the community so that we can figure out what to do within our capacity, the feedback wasn’t encouraging, I was told that students in Mosudo College sit on the floor, I was disturbed and I made a promise that the construction of classrooms will be the first thing I will do” Alh Akeem advised the students to continue striving hard because education is the passport to greatness, he prays for peace and long-lasting relationships among the people of the community.

In her reaction, Hajia Jemilat a teacher in the school expressed her joy, she was happy to be a part of the new dawn that happened to her school “Well, I would talk to the principal of the school to convert the classes to Examination Hall, it’s very important at this time. Meanwhile, the National President of Igbomina Youths Assembly, Engr Jimoh Abdulrasheed Temitope also announced the payment of school fees for 10 students of Masudo College.
