Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola has suggested why Brighton defeated his team 2-1 in the Premier League on Saturday.
Two second half goals from Joao Pedro and Matt O’Riley gave Brighton all three points against City.
Erling Haaland did score a goal for Guardiola’s side in the first half.
Speaking at his post-match interview, Guardiola insisted that Brighton were really good with the ball and have a lot of pace up front.
According to him, Man City players were tired in the second half and Brighton made changes which affected the Cityzens.
“They [Man City players] were magnificent in many ways. Brighton were really good with the ball and a lot of pace up front,” Guardiola said.
“In the first half we were really good and brilliant. In the second half, fatigue and they made changes we cannot do right now, and we lost the game.”
