In a remarkable display of resilience and determination, Babalola Munirat is hosting a cancer awareness and “Pad a Girl” initiative in Offa, Kwara State.

The event, which will take place on the 4th and 5th february 2025, aimed to educate participants about the importance of cancer screening, early detection, and prevention. Babalola Munirat, who has personally battled cancer, shared her inspiring story of survival and hope.

“I know firsthand the challenges and fears that come with a cancer diagnosis,” Babalola Munirat said. “But I also know that with the right support, education, and resources, we can overcome this disease and live fulfilling lives.”

The event featured a range of activities, including cancer awareness seminars, health screenings, and distribution of sanitary pads to young girls. Babalola Munirat’s initiative also provided a platform for participants to share their own experiences and connect with others who have been affected by cancer.

The event will also feature Pad A Girl initiative where girls in large numbers will receive Pad for free.


Babalola Munirat’s courage and advocacy have inspired many in the community, and her upcoming event has been accepted by people even outside the community. She is determined to make a difference and help others navigate the challenges of cancer.
